August THHS Pep Squad Community Service Project

The THHS Pep Squad will be working with the Jessie Rees Foundation for our August Community Service Project. The Jesse Rees Foundation helps children who have cancer as well as helping their family members. One of the ways that the foundation helps children is by giving cozy no sew blankets to children and their siblings. Another way is by providing toy filled Joy Jars to children in hospitals to make their time there easier. I am providing a link to their website if you would like to learn more about this amazing organization! I know that a lot of money has gone out to various pep squad things, so for those of you who would like to volunteer through this foundation instead of making blankets or donating items please look through their website for other ways to get involved.

Two ways to get Community Service hours (THREE HOURS MAX)

1). Purchase and make a no sew tie blanket. I have many at my house if you would like to contact me to pick one up. Each blanket is $8.00. They are easy and fun to do and the children love receiving them.
