As a distinguished alumna of Trabuco Hills High School’s Pep Squad, Coach Melissa brings a remarkable blend of expertise and dedication to her role as the Advisor and Varsity Cheer Coach. Graduating from Trabuco Hills High School in 2012, where she led the Pep Squad as Captain, Coach Melissa continued her academic pursuits at Orange Coast College, earning an Associate’s Degree in Liberal Studies. Her passion for cheerleading and coaching propelled her into an impressive career, spanning over a decade of shaping the next generation of athletes.
With a stellar track record in the cheerleading community, Coach Melissa has left an indelible mark on the sport. From 2011 to 2023, she served as the Head Coach and Tumbling Instructor at CheerForce Allstars and California Pride Allstars, guiding her teams to numerous accolades, including D1 Summit and USA Allstar National Championships. Additionally, her tenure as the Head Cheerleading and Pom Coach at El Modena High School from 2013-2019, coupled with her role as a Head Cheer Camp Instructor at AMP Camp & United Spirit Association, underscores her commitment to the sport. Melissa’s impressive accomplishments and dedication position her as an inspiring leader for the Trabuco Hills High School pep squad, poised to lead them to even greater success.
Savannah Sipprell
Varsity Song Coach
Coach Savannah brings a wealth of experience and passion for dance to her role as Trabuco Hills High School’s Varsity Song Coach. A dedicated lifelong learner, Savannah holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Psychology from Grand Canyon University, underscoring her commitment to personal and professional growth. Her journey in dance began at Orange Coast College, where she was a standout member of the Dance Team, laying the foundation for a successful career in the field.
Savannah’s impressive career highlights speak volumes about her talent and dedication to dance. As a three-time UDA College National Champion with Orange Coast College, and an eight-time medalist at Dance Worlds with various All-Star teams, she has proven her prowess on the competitive stage. Beyond her own achievements, Savannah has spent six years coaching local high school song teams and three years nurturing young dancers at local dance studios, imparting her knowledge and passion to the next generation of performers. With her extensive background and dedication to excellence, Coach Savannah Sipprell is poised to lead our Varsity Song Team to new heights of skill, artistry, and camaraderie.


Jaeda Hyden
JV Cheer Coach
Coach Jaeda brings a wealth of cheerleading experience and a passion for mentorship to her role as JV Cheer Coach. After graduating from Mater Dei High School, where she excelled as a member of the Sideline Cheer team, Coach Jaeda pursued her professional education at Paul Mitchell, earning her license as an Esthetician. However, her heart remained firmly rooted in the world of cheerleading, leading her to a dynamic career that has spanned over a decade.
Throughout her journey, Coach Jaeda has made significant contributions to the cheerleading community. From 2016 to 2020, she honed her coaching skills at Cheerforce Orange County, nurturing the talents of young athletes and instilling in them a love for the sport. Her dedication and expertise were further validated when she achieved a Silver Medal at the prestigious Worlds competition in 2021. Additionally, Coach Jaeda boasts an impressive array of championship titles, including NCA Champion in 2015, UCA High School Nationals Champion in 2015, and a string of victories at USA Nationals from 2010 to 2018. With her extensive background and proven success, Coach Jaeda is poised to inspire and guide our JV Cheer squad to new heights of achievement and teamwork.
Carissa Hwang
JV Song Coach
Coach Carissa has been training as a dancer for 16 years, 9 years at CSDPA under the direction of Kristi Davar. Carissa has been a competitive dancer and won many titles, including national titles, in her competitive career. She was a part of Capistrano Valley High School’s Pep Squad for four years. She participated on Varsity Song team for three of those years and Varsity Captain her senior year of high school. Carissa was noticed by McDonald Selznick Associates Talent Agency and signed with MSA when she was 16. After she graduated high school, she went on to pursue a professional dance career and was lucky to get the opportunity to train in the Launch Program at The Brea Space under the direction of Krista Miller in 2018-2019. She has trained with several established choreographers including Mark Meismer, Brian Freidman, Jessica Richens, Lacey Schwimmer and many more. In 2019 Carissa signed a contract to dance in the longest running show in Las Vegas, Legends in Concert. She graduated from California State University, Fullerton in 2021 and went into the medical sales industry. As Carissa continues to pursue her dance career, in addition to coaching at THHS, she is currently performing at the Disneyland Resort and is very excited to see what the future holds.
